Back from Tekong! (and enjoyin' it!)
Ok, so my expectations of a survivor-style escapade to Pulau Tekong "resorts" turned out to be pretty dreary and WET.. stupid monsoon season... but oh well.. knowing myself, any outfield is seemingly better than having to endure through endless of IPPT training and horrendously long 5AXes every day.. i mean.. running 8 rounds round the track before the sun has risen (which i did in the morning today) doesn't really sound like a very appetising way to start a morning.. =( and aniwez in outfield, everyone suffers and as long as you have your mentality set in "jungle" mode, then it is pretty ok lah..
So the first thing we did was to cross some pretty murky waters first via combat swim, then by pulling yourself over with a rope attached.. and well.. it was pretty fun and relaxing doing so -- just that by then you are completely soaked through and through and well.. somehow EVERYthing in army needs timing --> which takes the fun out of most things when u noe if u can't do it in time, you have to sa-mu-lah.. BLEAH.. which reminds me of a survivor challenge i devised whilst listening to Cpt Chua blab on and on about the greatness of SAF..(and his original topic was watermanship.. =()
